Concert: Ed Sheeran

My first favorite of Ed Sheeran song is “Bad Habit”, how cool this MV is 🙂

This song was the last performed one in his concert. It stops at such an energetic rest, a good ending for the concert!

Ed Sheeran’s music videos are artistic and have flavors of Pink Floyd (that’s why I love them), so did his stage. You can feel that he is truly a musician not some pop star going after only plauses and money. He sang a lot of unknown songs (maybe his own favorites) until at the very late of the concert, he started singing popular ones like Photograph, Shape of You, Thinking out Loud, Perfect. He wore a T-shirt and jean, and looked like my neighbour going up to the stage. He talked pretty casual too, not looking strange or weird. I think the concert would be cooler if he did not speak at all :D. He is a pretty cool musician. He created his music, he played guitars of all sorts, and used feet on paddles as percussion so he himself is the band. Although there were some guests musicians in this concert, mostly he played the entire 30 songs by himself, no intermissions or breaks.

When “Perfect” started, the stadium were all singing and dancing together, this is always my favorite moment of a concert.

This was a quite deep, and thought-provoking moment too. You remember the Perfect music video originally released? The video has many shots of sunny skies, snow mountains, the beautiful girl and bright smiles. Well, here came the older Ed Sheeran, the screen played the broken porcelains, flying all around, then glued together into a whole. Love this touches of the Asian art Kintsugi and his kind and innocent smiles on stage, purely great human emotions!

The downtown was full of concert vibes. The streets were full of Ed’s fans of different ages, and the parking was selling at $75 close to the stadium but $12 when we paid at our garage. The concert started at 5 or 6pm, and there were three other famous bands which played before him. So the audience can arrive at different times, and the streets were not full of traffic jams. Although the audio system of this stadium is the worst I had ever experienced, and we were listening through the distorted songs the whole time, we still were having a good time. One of my friends had not heard Ed Sheeran before and this was her first big concert. She said it was a good time 🙂
